Thursday

The road to a working pneumatic flipper bot has encountered yet another roadblock. We've bought our pneumatic cylinders, work perfectly. But our canister has run into a problem. We're still trying to find a way to pipe up the canister to the valve. Now we may even need a regulator and a buffer tank. Aargh. God, please show us the way to go...for You can make a way when there seems to be no way. We can only count on Your guidance now Lord...

Now, onto another issue. The YE/CC controversy is finally reaching its end. In fact, I believe this incident has actually pulled the 2 groups closer together. If not for this incident, YE and CC would still be in its pre-match state: Slight tension, but not enough to start anything. Now, after this event, both groups are taking steps to ensure greater cooperation and camaraderie between the 2 groups. The future now looks bright for the cooperation of the CC and YE. In fact, after some thought, perhaps the Lord has used what has happened to draw the 2 groups closer together for His divine purpose. Indeed, some work still needs to be done, but I can already see the Hand of the Lord working in the youth in our church. Jonathan, you have been a great representative for the YE, and I am honoured to have you visit my blog. With people like you in the YE, cooperation will be much easier.

Meanwhile, my intention of setting up my Shoutcast has failed. I can't install the plug-in because I have no administrative rights to my computer. Ah well, maybe sometime else...

Lord, thank you for all you have done...I place my total trust in you...guide me in your ways, Lord...

Everyday

What to say Lord it's
You who gave me life and I
Can't explain just how
Much You mean to me now
that You have saved me Lord
I give all that I am to You
That everyday I could
Be a light that shines Your name
Everyday Lord I'll
Learn to stand upon Your word
And I pray that I
I might come to know You more
That You would guide me
In every single step I take and
everyday I can
Be Your light unto the world

Everyday, It's You I'll live for
Everyday, I'll follow after You
Everyday, I'll walk with You my Lord

It's You I live for everyday
It's You I live for everyday
It's You I live for everyday

Wednesday

It has come to my attention that there has been some conflict resulting from a certain undisclosed blog. All I'll say is...

You guys really don't know what a blog is, do you? It's just how someone is feeling at that time. If the fella is happy, you get a happy blog. If the fella is sad, you get a sad blog. The fella is angry, you get an angry blog. It's SO subjective it's impossible to critique. Fine, so you don't agree with the fella's opinion. Let it be, because everyone is entitled to your own opinion. I hope this kind of thing doesn't happen again.

All Day

I don't care what they say about me
It's alright, alright
I don't care they think about me
It's alright, they'll get it one day

I love you, I'll follow you
You are my, my life
I will read my Bible and pray
I will follow you all day

I don't care what it costs anymore
Cos' you gave it all and I'm following you
I don't care what it takes anymore
No matter what happens I'm going your way

All Day
All Day now
All Day

Anyone around can see
just how good you've been to me
For all my friends that don't know you
I pray that you would save them too

Monday

Got my confirmation. It is indeed as I had thought. I guess I must be obedient now, and I will receive my rewards from Jehovah Jireh when the time is right.

Went looking for motors today. Went to Sim Lim first. Then went to Sinta. Then walked all the way to Peninsula Plaza opposite Funan Centre to look for Mabuchi Motors. A bit wierd. These 16 year old boys in St. Andrew's Sec shirts going to a sales office...Anyway, maybe can get FOC motors from there...then walked all the way to Chinatown to look for wheels. Then took MRT back to Potong Pasir and went down to Ubi to look for Oriental Motors. The sales person not there, so called back Maxon to see if they still have stock. Then returned to school and continued working on the Sumobot. Eventually got back home. Tired. Walked the whole day. Then plus yesterday...

Lord...I give it all up to you...I am yours...use me as you wish...

Always

Did You raise the sun for me?
Or paint a million stars that I might
Know Your majesty?
Is Your voice upon the wind?
Is everything I've known marked
With my maker's fingerprints?

Breathe on me
Let me see Your face
Ever will I seek You

'Cause all You are, is all I want, always
Draw me close in Your arms
Oh God, I wanna be with You

Can I feel You in the rain?
Abandon all I am to have You
Capture me again
Let the earth resound with praise
Can You hear as all creation lives
To glorify one name?

Sunday

Tiring tiring day.

The result of sleeping late and waking up early, rushing to SMC from COGS, rushing to COGS from SMC, playing football in the hot sun, then playing table tennis shortly after.

Anyway, I have no regrets sleeping late last night (or more like this morning). I watched Liverpool defeat the hapless Mancs 1-0. Danny Murphy shall henceforth be our default penalty taker. Of course, it was double the pleasure, as I was watching it alongside Matt the Big, supporter of the hapless Mancs. Also, to rub it in, he was wearing his Man U van Nistelrooy jersey, AND HE DIDN'T PLAY! Muhaha I'm SO evil...

Anyway, this morning I went to COGS for service. Was the cross-bearer, fairly routine. Sermon was on the unity of the church, unity in holiness. After service rushed down to SMC for worship band prac.

Played piano for SMC AY today. Only 5 songs, but led by Andrew the Captain, siong enough. Things started off with a blistering Better Than Life. Could feel the spirit moving in the room. Then slowed down after that with We All Bow Down, then the new song Always, then Be Glorified, and finally More Than Life. I must say worship was good today, really brought the congregation to worship, while the band was able to worship as well. After that, we had a guest speaker. He spoke on the topic of Servanthood. Really really good sermon. The bible verses cut straight to the heart (even though not in terms of the topic...), and the teaching was very sound and solid. The gist of the sermon is that you've got to have a relationship with God before you serve, otherwise it's not for God. Also you need to ask God what He wants you to do, otherwise you're not fulfilling God's will. What really struck me was that you need to give up the things most important to you and put God first in your life (Luke 9:57-62), otherwise, you labour in vain, for you will labour for your own selfish ambition. In other words, I must let go. It's going to be hard. Very hard. But it has to be done. Hopefully if I seek Him and His kingdom first, I will be given it back, but I've got to rough this patch out first. Anyway, the sermon was so good I stayed behind until after prayer before I rushed off to COGS.

Amazingly, I wasn't late. Changed into my Liverpool jersey and Valencia shorts and boots and waited for the matches to start. Only Joshua the Soloist and I were in jerseys. I felt SO out of place. Next time, I'm wearing my PE shirt...Talking about next time, we'll be mentioning that a LOT in this paragraph. The lower secondary match was rather tight. We let in an early goal, but we scored a late equaliser to force the game into extra time. The scores were still even after extra time, so it was a 1-1 draw. We'll be having a rematch next time. Then, next was our match. To put it simply, it was horrible. Our defence barely even existed. We left the keeper exposed a LOT. We were conceding like crazy. Meanwhile, I wasn't much help upfront. I played HORRIBLY today. Rarely even got a touch of the ball. My shooting was wayward. I had no control over the ball whatsoever. Earned a few corners, that's about it. The second half was better for me, worse for the team. Joshua the Soloist...let's just say there was an incident regarding him and a certain Nathan from YE. So in the second half, he was reduced to ramming balls from half-field over the goal, while I, desperate for something to do, was busy turning my marker inside out. Really worked him out in the second half. Then, it happened...a cross came in from my right and I outran my marker, and I was one-on-one with the goalkeeper with the ball right in front of me...and I missed the ball...I wrongfooted myself and missed the ball totally with my right foot. I felt AWFUL. I spurned my team's best chance. If anyone in the team is reading this, I take full responsibility for our loss. I'm really really really really really sorry. Man, it's awful missing a chance like that...anyway, we lost 6-1, also due in no small part to some foul play by YE. It's OK. We'll get our chance next time. "Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord." -Romans 12:19. YE better watch out next time.

Anyway, after our loss, I spent some time reflecting on the disaster. The first and most significant thing I noticed about our loss was the most vital...we forgot God. We didn't pray before the match. His presence wasn't with us. We were playing with our own strength. We were playing without the One who does miracles. We MUST NOT forget next time. This is imperitive. I can't believe we forgot the most important thing. Anyway, enough about that. We move on to tactics. YE played like this...they defend in numbers, then attack on the break. We should play like that too. Defend when we don't have possession, have someone with a lot of speed and stamina (striker) apply pressure on whoever has the ball. He may not be successful most of the time, but when he does, he should have a clear run at goal and we should be rewarded with the goal. The rest just defend. They get the ball, punt to space. Also players should look for space. If they (the opponents) are concentrated on the left and there's space on the right, right back run up. If concentrated on the right and space on the left, left back run up. If concentrated on the wings, lone striker stay up. If concentrated in the centre/not concentrated, push them to the wings. If ball is too far behind lone striker/chaser, man-mark and close them down. I also suggest we confirm the date for the next time ASAP so we can choose our players beforehand so we can train accordingly. The way we are training now is so so wrong. Ramming isn't bad, it just doesn't have a place in the kind of game we have to play in such a small field. We need to train one touch shots and long through balls, as well as pushing attackers to the flanks and man-marking off-the-ball players. And goalkeeping, definitely. Any more opinions? Feel free to to post in my tagboard. We'll need as many ideas as we can get.

Anyway, back to the day. The big guns strutted their stuff, Ian the German Chelsea Goalkeeper producing a goalkeeping masterclass, stopping some impossible shots. In the end, we finally prevailed with a 3-1 win over YE. I guess it was one of the few amicable meetings between the CC and the YE. At least THIS YE team showed some sportsmanship. At least they played fair. At least they didn't brutally assault anyone's privates (Read: Joshua the Soloist). Anyway, we played well that match. Good win, guys. Then we went up for prize presentation and refreshments. Didn't eat much. I think I only had a cracker, that's it. Drank LOTS of water from the water cooler. Then went back down for more footy. And I FINALLY found my form. What perfect timing. I think it's God's way of humbling us all, to depend on him when it counts. Ah well, as long as we don't forget next time...

Waited in church for about an hour for my parents. Then found out I was getting home anyway. Once again, the "Aargh..." feeling. I could have saved everyone the trouble by following Joshua the Soloist and Mich the Rugger in their sleek black Mazda6. Then again, it did look a bit crowded in there. And it wouldn't be doing much to my "letting go" would it...

Anyway, was brought to JCC to bathe. Before that, had a nice hour of table tennis with my father. Been a long time since I played. Didn't deteriorate as badly as I thought I would have. Still managed a decent game. After bath, char siew rice for dinner, then it's back home...

This letting go thing is really wearing me out. Is this really the will of God? Or is Satan trying to orchestrate some devious trick? I really can't tell. I'm really confused. Currently, I'm following. I don't know about the future. I just hope I'll get some confirmation as to who it's from, and how long do I have to do this. Maybe forever, I don't know. I may get my answers, maybe I won't. I'll probably just obey for now, trust it's from God, and wait and see in terms of my questions and answers.

Lord, I'm so confused...is that voice I'm hearing really you?...Nevertheless, I trust wholeheartedly in you...your will be done...I will obey...I...must...let...go...

You'll Never Walk Alone

When you walk through a storm hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never walk alone.

Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never walk alone.

Friday

Bittersweet day today.

QT struck right to the bone. I HAVE to let go. There is no alternative. Not for the moment. The wrath of God isn't a nice thing to face.

Anyway, it was back to school again. Took the wrong bus. Saw 13 instead of 93. Had to walk to the nearest bus stop and take the correct bus. Anyway, wasn't late, so not too bad. Set to work redesigning the flipper, and meanwhile had a listen at Jonk the Smart's website (http://4jc.net.tc). Faves: To The Ends Of The Earth and Free. Great stuff there...

Lim the Silent was having problems fitting the rams into the old design, so we gave the design a total overhaul. Now it looks more like Behemoth than Dantomkia. Anyway, the new design would give us a bore of 32 mm and a stroke of 40 mm, and hopefully allow us to self-right. We'll be buying 2 rams and test it out first. If it really jams, then we'll just change it back to the single ram design.

Had an earlier lunch, than meeting with Mdm Soh, Lim the Silent, Yijie the Crazo, Edmundo the Broken-Armed, Joshua the Acting Secretary, Kimchi Jong the Ill, Snowstorm the Technical Director and The Khan. Basically sorting out the NJRC sponsorships and the internal competition. Finished at 2 sharp, then set off for Pneumax.

Basically confirmed the design with the guy, then placed our orders. Final price was close to $300, and that was the discounted price. At least we've got 1 thing confirmed! Left feeling happy. Maybe it's because I finally let go. But must still be wary. I really don't know whether it's a plan from God or a ploy from Satan, really hard to say. I guess we'll know in His time. Just trying to be fully, completely, totally and utterly obedient to God's will...but it's not easy, I can tell you...

Anyway, after that, made our way down to Ngee Ann Poly. Was open this time, because we arrived about 4.30 pm. Crescent Girls was there. We keep bumping into SRG competitors at Ngee Ann, don't we...;) Gave the gripper back to Ms Regina, I guess she knows what to do with it. Anyway, also talked to Mr Alex about our PIC controller. He says he needs a circuit diagram. Lim the Silent will take care of that! He'll call the OTHER Mr Alex! Anyway, with that, we ended our session at Ngee Ann.

After that, went down to COGS for a capella practice. Had dinner at the coffeeshop, Char Siew Rice as usual. Then went down, nobody yet, so I took out the laptop and started fiddling around with the bot designs. Soon to arrive are Mich the Rugger and Joshua the Soloist, in their sleek black Mazda6. Uncle Steven and Joshua the Soloist were showing great interest in my bot, while Mich the Rugger was just, in her own words, "dead tired". Anyway, we soon got into the room and started warm-ups. Warm-ups weren't bad, but then when we finally touched on the songs...First up, blending was GROSS. Didn't improve until right at the end. Even then, it wasn't really great. I think it's because we forgot to pray. Anyway, I guess we are pretty much ready for tomorrow. As long as we remember to pray. Finally, got ferried home in that sleek black Mazda6. Tad squeezy in there with my laptop and all, but got home nonetheless...

Lord, I want to be totally obedient to you...help me let go...that in the end your will be done...

Would you believe me if i said...
that we are the ones who can make the change
in the world today...
Would you believe me if i said...
that all of your dreams in your heart
can come true... today...
Would you believe me if i said...
that life could be all that you want it to be... today...

And if i had wings i would fly
'cause all that i need, you are,
and if the world caved in around me,
to You i'd still hold on
'cause You're all that i believe
and the one that created me
JESUS.. because of you.. I'm free

Would you believe me if i said...
that God can make miracles happen today
Would you believe me if i said...
that you dont need to wait for the answers before..
you step out in faith..
Would you believe me if i said
that nothing is ever IMPOSSIBLE.. for God..

Just live your life.. with God inside.
You won't regret one moment of it,
and give all that you can for God... for God

Thursday

Ah, busy busy busy day.

Woke up late, had lukewarm cereal in lukewarm milk and drank lukewarm Milo. Anyway, still managed to reach school on time at 10 am. Did the final calculations to our super-flipper, then set off to look for motors. Stopped by at a coffee-shop to eat lunch first. Chicken rice, not particularly nice...but, ah heck, still food...

Reached Servo Dynamics to look for Maxon motors. The guy thought Lim the Silent and I were Sec 2s! We'll probably never grow up. Not me anyway. I'll never ever grow up. Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional. That's my motto. Anyway, on the motors front, looked quite promising at first. He assured us we were getting "powerful" motors. Then, the first hammer...price. $400. That was WAY over our budget. The second hammer...delivery. It will take 4 weeks for the motors to be delivered. We don't have the luxury of time...ah well, going to Sim Lim tomorrow to look for cheap motors...

Then went down to the fire extinguisher place. Can't stand the smell of the place. Smells like concentrated ginseng. Still have that horrendous stench in my nose now. Hope it's gone by tomorrow...Anyway, was totally fruitless there. No one around, no one to answer our questions...we just left the place. Partly because of the smell, partly because there was no other compelling reason for us to stick around.

Went down to our old resting place, Pneumax. Did some more calculations there. In the end, found out we had to ditch our 2 cylinder design for a 1 cylinder Dantomkia style flipper. That meant we had to redesign and recalculate everything again. Left disappointed.

Rushed down to Ngee Ann Poly. The lab was closed by the time we reached there. It was a real "aargh..." feeling.

So that's how we ended the day. No motors, no pneumatic canister, no pneumatic rams, no microcontroller, and a sickening ginseng smell.

Anyway, went down to SATA for my medical. Will get back the report on Monday. Anyway, took a peek at my report. 1.74m, 50.9 kg. First time I've passed the 50 kg mark. Anyway, that brought my BMI up to 16.9 (or something like that). That's probably still grossly underweight. What the heck. I really couldn't care less. On with the report, I'm not colour blind. To end off, 6/6 vision for both eyes. That's really a gift from God, considering I spend half my life staring at my computer...

Another long day tomorrow...

Lord, there must be a way...and I know you have it...but I'm not extorting anything from you...in your time, Lord...

In memory of a friend, who has been hearing tribal drums in her head...>D (No offence, brudder...;D)

Wednesday

Today was "normal" in an abnormal sort of way.

Today I did what I like to do most...slacking. Spent the whole day playing and fooling around with my FIFA 2004. Added Bobby Moore and Johan Cruijff. Started a World Cup. Continued my career. Wasn't a particularly fun day, but good enough I guess. I think the real dampener was my darned NYP paperwork. So much paperwork I can't make head or tail out of it. Driving me nuts. Probably going to practise piano after this. I guess the worst part is looking ahead...There's so much to do, so much to finish, in so little time, yet I can't do anything NOW...

Lord, help me...I need you...guide my life...according to your will...

Still

Hide me now
Under your wings
Cover me
within your mighty hand

When the oceans rise and thunders roar
I will soar with you above the storm
Father you are king over the flood
I will be still and know you are God

Find rest my soul
In Christ alone
Know his power
In quietness and trust

Tuesday

Not a particularly happy day. Once again, banging on my piano most of the day, still can't get it right. Finally got my Nanyang Poly package, found out I had tons and tons of paperwork to do...Went to piano class at 5 pm, found out about the Nicoll Highway collapse. Wasn't too perturbed. Things like that can only happen under the will of the Lord. We can't do anything about it, and, in time, we'll know what the Lord has planned through this event. Anyway, piano class wasn't THAT bad...until I played the piece that I forgot to practise...It plain slipped my mind. It was embarrasing at best...Anyway, after that, had dinner at Jack's Place. Got lectured by my parents because I told them shorts were allowed in NYP...then got lectured back home because I wanted to upgrade my MSN Messenger...My parents want me to go to the gym...WHEN? DO I LOOK LIKE I HAVE TIME??? Ah well, things can only get better tomorrow...Lots of changes for the next few days. Thursday's SMC AY Band Prac cancelled, Friday now have A Capella Prac, and I'm going to get XL size shorts for my jersey instead of M. What a mess.

Lord, I submit to you...your will...in your time...by your ways...I will follow you...

I Know Who Holds Tomorrow

I don't know about tomorrow;
I just live from day to day.
I don't borrow from its sunshine
For its skies may turn to grey.
I don't worry o'er the future,
For I know what Jesus said.
And today I'll walk beside Him,
For He knows what is ahead.

Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand.

Every step is getting brighter
As the golden stairs I climb;
Every burden's getting lighter,
Every cloud is silver-lined.
There the sun is always shining,
There no tear will dim the eye;
At the ending of the rainbow
Where the mountains touch the sky.

I don't know about tomorrow;
It may bring me poverty.
But the one who feeds the sparrow,
Is the one who stands by me.
And the path that is my portion
May be through the flame or flood;
But His presence goes before me
And I'm covered with His blood.

Monday

WARNING: Large blog post alert.

Have to catch up on an amazing 3 days worth of blogging.

In chronological order, we start with Saturday. Busy as expected. Went to school at 9 am and then made our way to Ngee Ann Poly. Arrived at 10.15 am, 15 minutes before schedule, which wasn't a bad thing. Managed to get a peep of Fuhua the Kiasu's can-collector robot. Also did SOME work on our can-collector. Some, meaning, really very little. We brought our adapter along, but the plug was too far away. We didn't bring extra batteries, so we basically worked for just about 15 minutes to half an hour before the batteries died. Totally and utterly. So that meant the end of productive work in Ngee Ann, even though our booking was for 1 and 1/2 hours...

Anyway, after that, made our way back to school, had chicken rice and fried carrot cake for lunch with my mother, then rushed back to fetch my grandmother to our Confirmation class. Lesson was on the Apostles' Creed. Understandable, not too in depth.

After that, choir practice. The usual, nothing spectacular. Finished early because most of us were going to see Mich the Rugger's school's choir's concert. Rushed to Jurong for dinner and to fetch my father. Ate 3/4 plate of fried rice in just about 8 minutes. Then, went on our way to VJC. Actually, felt a bit guilty going for the concert...missed my P6 reunion because of it. Never mind, will try to catch the next one!

Anyway, we eventually found our way to VJC to find out some great news. I wasn't the only one in shorts! Anyway, we made our way into the auditorium and I sat next to Spewspittle the Vicar's Son and Joshua the Soloist, who incidentally didn't receive as much ventilation as I did, because he was wearing jeans. Also bumped into Nicholas Chew, famous for his blatant display of the finger in his class photograph. Anyway, the concert started off with one of my favourite songs...Sigalagala. It wasn't bad, it just didn't capture the essence of the song. Didn't have that..."ululation" feel. My mother said the SAS version sounded better (Muhahaha), especially the solo (Muhahaha Haha). Anyway, from then was really just looking forward to another favourite of mine, Pokpok Alimpako. Definitely one of the performances of the night. THE performance of the night had to be Pamugun. One day I'm going to get the score for my SAS choir. I'm sure they can do it. Anyway, the second half paled in comparison to Pokpok and Pamugun. But still good enough to make me miss being in a school choir. And with that, we move on to...

Sunday! Went to COGS for morning service. Was the...waddyacallit...General Election or something like that. We had a Judge deliver the sermon, and he delivered it very Judgely...slowly and with impeccably cheem English. If my memory serves me well, he was speaking on holy service to God and man. It was a bit hard to grasp his message, but I think I roughly got it. After that, rushed off to SMC for Agape Youth.

Played piano for worship. Couldn't make it for the practice on Saturday, so I basically had a short look before AY started, then just played as the Spirit led. Worship was clinical, very crisp and clean, and yet everyone managed to worship, even the band. That's What We Came Here For was a good start, and worship really kicked up a gear with Rock of Ages. By the time we reached Free, the Spirit of God could be felt moving in the room, and everyone was worshipping the Lord. Free was really high-octane, and it sounded really good with the new "instrument console". Things slowed down after that, eventually ending with Through It All and Jesus, We Enthrone You, before we finally ended on a majestic note with Majesty. Overall, worship was pretty good, considering I had no prior practice. Sermon was on the condition of the heart (Parable of the Sower). Just a timely reminder, rather predictable sermon, but still required nonetheless. After that, went for lunch.

Had char siew rice for lunch, before visiting the house of K'Dash the Guitarist cum Bassist. After he and Matt the Big had their share of Gunbound, we proceeded to NUS for football. Played once again in my Liverpool (Diouf 9) jersey. Was joined by King Solomon, who, as good a person he is, has barely any aptitude for football. Not yet, anyway. We conceded an early goal. Made a quick change of tactics. I had a good chance early on, skimming the outside of the post. Then, I scored the equaliser. I let a brilliant pass from Chaw Shing the Skillded roll past my right foot before I smacked the ball with my left foot, sweetly into the bottom corner. They scored soon after, Hanto the Temperate heading in from a corner. The match wore on, both sides visibly fatigued. Then, 2 minutes before half time, I scored yet another equaliser. Thomas the Military misjudged a header and I got a clean run on goal, just getting to the ball ahead of Kairong the Raul-lookalike and clinically finished it under his body. 2-2 at half-time. Went 4-2 down within the first 5 minutes of the second half due to suicidal defending. After that, Nored the Eccentric finally settled down and made some comfortable saves. The score stayed 4-2 until Simon the Drummer slid in on the ball and the ball looped into the goal. 4-3. Ilango the Forgiven scored the equaliser when Thomas the Military misjudged yet another header and Ilango the Forgiven had a clear run on goal and finished clinically as well. Simon the Drummer scored the vital winner after a bad tackle on Chaw Shing the Skillded, Simon the Drummer played the advantage and placed the ball beyond King Solomon into the goal. Final score: 5-4.

After that, went to Suntec City Kenny Rogers' for dinner with Matt the Big, King Solomon, Jason the Wierder-Than-Me, Hanto the Temperate, K'Dash the Guitarist cum Bassist, and of course, the birthday boy Simon the Drummer. We all had a great time of fellowship and eating, and I'm sure Simon the Drummer had a memorable 16th birthday.

Now onto today. Started off pretty normal, went to school at 10 am. Sent in the final applications for SRG. Also confirmed the dates for the internal competition. 29th and 30th June, SAS school hall, free admission, all are welcome. Should be starting work on the Gladiator bot by Friday. Anyway, reached home about 6.45 pm, after dinner, intensive piano practice. Arms aching slightly, but I need to be ready by tomorrow, so...just hoping I can play reasonably well for tomorrow's class.

Lord, thank you for being there when I need you...thank you that you are real...thank you that you have revealed yourself to me...may everyone know that you are the one true God...the Creator and Saviour of my soul...

Rock of Ages

There is no rock
There is no god like our God
No other name worthy of all our praise
The Rock of Salvation that cannot be moved
He's proven Himself to be faithful and true
There is no rock
There is no god like ours

Rock of Ages
Jesus is the Rock
Rock of Ages
Jesus is the Rock
Rock of Ages
Jesus is the Rock
There is no rock
There is no god like ours

Rock of Ages
Jesus You're the Rock

There is no rock
There is no god like ours

Friday

Interesting day today.

Went to school as usual at 10 am. The school was getting ready for their Track and Field day today at SAJC, so basically we had the whole school to ourselves in the afternoon. The new sumobot we were working on turned out to be a wreck, will be rebuilding the whole thing. Spent half the day trying to get a laptop from Mdm Soh. Eventually did get it, luckily. Also booked the playing field at Ngee Ann tomorrow. Expected to bump into 2 schools there. Talked to Chairman Joe. Found out he was an atheist. Praying for him, trying to convert him, but in the end it's not mine to say. God, work in him. Handphone suddenly stopped working. As a result went down to SMC for Band Practice, which was already pushed forward to tomorrow. Since I cannot make it, I'll just get the song list by email. Ah well, another busy day tomorrow.

Lord, I love You...You are my Saviour...be their Saviour too...Your will be done...that's all I ask...

All Day

I don't care what they say about me
It's alright, alright
I don't care they think about me
It's alright, they'll get it one day

I love you, I'll follow you
You are my, my life
I will read my Bible and pray
I will follow you all day

I don't care what it costs anymore
Cos' you gave it all and I'm following you
I don't care what it takes anymore
No matter what happens I'm going your way

All Day
All Day now
All Day

Anyone around can see
just how good you've been to me
For all my friends that don't know you
I pray that you would save them too

Thursday

Went to school again at 10 am. Had to prepare for training after that. Unwelcome visitors again. We must devise a way to keep them out of the lab. Anyway, did some more research on Gladiator, should be able to start work very very soon. Remembered to eat lunch, unlike yesterday. Anyway, the Junior School is VERY likely to join our internal competition. Need to confirm the dates. And book the hall too. And Narrative the Buaya better get the new batch of shirts soon...Anyway, today's practice was good. The Sec 1s were very productive, most teams have finished their bots, so they can go for their exams in peace. Amazingly, quite a few teams turned up even though we posted up the notice a bit last minute. Got the NJRC entry forms already. We have already shortlisted the teams. But they don't know yet. We'll let them have some fun with their internal competition. Looking forward to SRG. Looking forward to the internal competition. It's going to be an exciting 2 months ahead.

By the way, found out the CD Andrew the Captain was playing was More Than Life by Hillsongs Australia. Great CD man...

My life is in your hands...

One Way

I lay my life down at your feet
You're the only one i need
I turn to you and you are always there

In troubled times its you i seek
I put you first thats all i need
I humble all i am, All to you

One way
Jesus
You're the only one that i could live for
One Way
Jesus
You're the only one that i could live for

You are always, always there
Every how and everywhere
Your grace abounds so deeply within me

You wil never ever change
Yesterday today the same
Forever till forever meets no end

One way
Jesus
You're the only one that i could live for
One Way
Jesus
You're the only one that i could live for

You are the way the truth and the life
We live by faith and not by sight ... for you
We're living all for you

Wednesday

Went to school at 10 am as usual. Removed all traces of Gunbound from the Lab computers, made Chairman Joe very sad. Then, started working on the can-collector. Also dug up the Lego remote control. Had a lot of fun with it, driving the Cheese around. Also tried coming up with THE sumobot for SRG. Failed miserably. Meanwhile, Snowstorm the Technical Director started rebuilding Razer. QC4:IC turned up today. Did some work on their robot...made a lifter of sorts. They accepted the offer to adopt Lim the Silent's Super Duper Sumobot. Also had some unwelcome visitors. Just because there are computers in the lab doesn't mean that you can just barge in and use them...Anyway, after that came back home. Reached back here at just about 7 pm. Can't wait to play FIFA 2004...

Ian Rush added, started a career with Liverpool. Will be adding more players soon.

Lord, what do you want me to do? Help me that I may do so.

A Simple Life

I live a simple life,
I work all day and sleep all night.
A couple of kids who need a nap,
Big dog and a little cat.
A wife that barks but rarely bites,
So I live a simple life.

I live a simple life,
A good coat when the cold winds bite,
Leather boots for my bare feet,
And now and then the steak to eat.
I pick with the boys on Friday night,
So I live a simple life.

My favourite book was wrote
About a man that died to save my soul.
My favourite thing to hear
Is "Daddy, I'm so glad you're home."
My favourite woman is 5'3",
With flowing black hair and brown eyes.
Oh, I live a simple life.

I live a simple life,
A couple of friends I really like,
A little house outside of town,
An old car that gets me around.
Complications may arise,
But I live a simple life.

I live a simple life,
Cellphone when my old car dies,
The internet to show me where,
GPS to get me there.
Everywhere there's satellite,
Still, I live a simple life.

My favourite book was wrote
About a man that died to save my soul.
My favourite thing to hear
Is "Daddy, I'm so glad you're home."
My favourite woman is 5'3",
With flowing black hair and brown eyes.
Oh, I live a simple life.

I live a simple life.
I live a simple life.
I live a simple life.

Tuesday

The usual Tuesday. Woke up late, shuffled between practising piano and playing FIFA 2004. Amazingly, today's piano class wasn't that bad. Was rather smooth, actually. Anyway, after that, my parents fetched me to Bishan to cut hair...

Yes, I succumbed. Spent $9 to get a prickly neck. After that, was STILL bugged by my parents to shave. And my sideburns. "Why didn't you ask them to shave off your sideburns? Want to look like Elvis ah..." No, because it hurts, darn it...for the past 10 years, everytime my sideburns were shaved there will be some bleeding somewhere there. I mean, just the back of my neck is bad enough...had fried rice and fried carrot cake for dinner. My hair was falling all over the place. Spent some time actually removing hair from my food. Went back home, showered in pain. Then rendered my towel useless while drying my hair. It had become saturated with hair...

...and my parents wonder why I don't want to cut my hair...

Added Franz Beckenbauer, Bobby Charlton and Jairzinho to FIFA 2004. More to come soon.

Lord, I want to be closer to you...I want to hear your voice again...to feel your presence...to experience your comfort...to do your will...

Draw Me Close

Draw me close to you
Never let me go
I lay it all down again
To hear You say that I'm Your friend

You are my desire
No one else will do
'Cause nothing else could take your place
To feel the warmth of your embrace

Help me find a way
Bring me back to you

You're all I want
You're all I've ever needed
You're all I want
Help me know you are near

Monday

Today was pretty usual. Went to school at 10 am as usual, worked on the pneumatics as usual, Chairman Joe was wasting his time in the lab as usual. Sent in the schematics to Ms Tan, who photocopied it for Mr Goh. Hopefully the plan goes through and we can start work on the bot. New problem, we need a new microcontroller. Will be asking Yijie the Crazo to see if we can find a cheap one. Probably pulling out of Sumobot...no time no money. Lim the Silent making progress with the can-collector. Bumped into Shawn the Cousin during lunch. Spent the rest of his day in the lab after cross-country practice. In the end, went home with Lim the Silent and I. Reached home about 6.30 pm, had dinner then practised piano.

Still practising piano.

Lord, draw me closer to You...that I may love You more...

Now That You're Near

Hold me in Your arms
Never let me go
I wanna spend eternity with You

I stand before You, Lord
And give You all my praise
Your love is all I need
Jesus, You're all I need

My life belongs to You
You gave Your life for me
Your grace is all I need
Jesus, You're all I need

Hold me in Your arms
Never let me go
I wanna spend eternity with You

And now that You're near
Everything is different
Everything's so different, Lord
And I know I'm not the same
My life You've changed
And I wanna be with You
I wanna be with You

And I will sing for You always
'Cause in Your presence God is where I wanna stay

Sunday

Easter Sunday.

Service at COGS was...interesting. Processional hymn was one of my favourite hymns. (I remember I used to hum it in class and everyone around was asking me to shut up...) After that, the choir presented the Resurrection Fanfare...one of the best songs the choir has presented in my opinion. After that, we had this really really really really good saxophone player, who played us this ridiculously good rendition of Amazing Grace. Great testimony too. Another good sermon today, on the Resurrection of course. Basically, the message is about telling us not to worry, not to focus on your troubles and shortcomings, but instead turn to face the Lord, because he is alive, and he is God, and he will take care of everything...just obey and trust. Messed up Communion song...only the first part...but bad enough.

Today was spring-cleaning in SMC. But before that, worship. Was led by Ilango the Forgiven...his first in Agape Youth. Nevertheless, still good...could feel the spirit of God among us in the room. Highlights: Lord I Lift Your Name on High...in fast mode...especially with just the drums and the vocals. Slow worship was just awesome. You Laid Aside Your Majesty and Because He Lives fit together really well.

Now, onto spring-cleaning. We were separated into 2 groups. One to do the outside of the church and one to do the Youth Room. I was assigned to do the Youth Room. We basically moved everything to the centre and swept up the sides. EVERYTHING. Including the piano. When we were cleaning, you would not recognise the room AT ALL. We opened up the windows...I didn't even know our room had a balcony! Because we had to clean the windows too, we switched off the air-con. We even dug out the old dusty termite-infested organ...and it actually worked! Anyway, we finished off about 2 pm, moved everything back to where it was supposed to be...and totally revamped the worship band corner. Can't wait to jam on Free with the new instrument arrangement...Finished off Youth Service with You Laid Aside Your Majesty again. Jammed a bit after that on Andrew the Captain's CD...THAT CD ROCKS!!! But it's not my type. But would love to play like that, though...

Lunch opposite after that. Fried Rice, as usual. Then, went to play basketball. Did my Gordon Banks stuff. Actually worked sometimes. Other times was a complete, total and utter flop. Then played street-soccer with a deflated beach ball. Burst it. Do I really kick that hard? Anyway, that meant the end of street-soccer so I went back to basketball. Then, we finally got a football. Street-soccer was...interesting. Went 4-0 down very early. Then, we fought back, I scored 2, the score was back up to 4-3. Anyway, that wasn't the interesting part (although I do like scoring...) Hanto the Temperate was a bit tropical today. Kept shoving me and kicking me hard in the shins. Also ramming at me for no apparent reason. Was really scared when I was placed as goalkeeper (I'm hopeless at goalkeeping...) True enough, other than letting in lots and lots and lots of goals, I was the target of obsessive ramming from Hanto the Temperate. I have no idea why. I just hope this will pass. We have a football match next week...

Found my way to Chinatown MRT, my parents fetched me from Serangoon MRT, Ban Mian for dinner, then back home.

Pele and Garrincha in FIFA 2004. Plans to include Franz Beckenbauer soon.

You conquered death...you conquered sin...you resurrected from the dead...then you ascended into heaven...your ways are beyond me, Lord...help me to trust wholeheartedly in you...

Christ the Lord is Risen Today

Christ, the Lord, is risen today, Alleluia!
Sons of men and angels say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heavens, and earth, reply, Alleluia!

Love's redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Lo! the Sun's eclipse is over, Alleluia!
Lo! He sets in blood no more, Alleluia!

Vain the stone, the watch, the seal, Alleluia!
Christ hath burst the gates of hell, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids His rise, Alleluia!
Christ hath opened Paradise, Alleluia!

Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once He died our souls to save, Alleluia!
Where thy victory, O grave? Alleluia!

Soar we now where Christ hath led, Alleluia!
Following our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like Him, like Him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!

Hail, the Lord of earth and heaven, Alleluia!
Praise to Thee by both be given, Alleluia!
Thee we greet triumphant now, Alleluia!
Hail, the resurrection day, Alleluia!

King of glory, Soul of bliss, Alleluia!
Everlasting life is this, Alleluia!
Thee to know, Thy power to prove, Alleluia!
Thus to sing and thus to love, Alleluia!

Friday

Good Friday.

Went to COGS for service. The whole mood was solemn. Sermon (and the entire mood of the service, for that matter...) cut straight to the heart. It was a heavy, heavy service today.

After that went to pay respects to several people, my grandfather, my great-grandparents, various other deceased people. Rained, as usual. It always rains on Good Friday. And the sky will be really really really dark. After that, dinner at Jurong. Finished ASAP to watch Arsenal-Liverpool. Disappointing result in the end. Did some work on Every Time I Feel the Spirit. Should be alright.

FIFA 2004 works on my com. Added Lev Yashin and Gordon Banks, will be adding more players in the near future.

You died for me...you got tortured for me...it should be me getting tortured...it should be my blood that flows...it should be my cries of pain...but you took my place...you are my Saviour...I am indebted to you...I am Yours forever...

One Desire

You gave it all for me
My soul desire
My everything
All I am is devoted to You
How could I fail to see
You are the love that rescued me
And all I am is devoted to You

And oh, how could I not be moved
Lord here with You
So have Your way in me
Cause Lord there is just one thing
And that I will seek

This is my cry
My one desire
Just to be where You are Lord
Now and forever
It's more than a song
My one desire
Is to be with You
Is to be with You
Jesus

The one thing
The one thing I ask
Is to be with You

Thursday

Maundy Thursday.

Not much significance to me, just a normal day. Went to school about 11 am, which is about the time the students were dismissed. Continued doing research on pneumatic containers, not much success. Continued assisting Chairman Joe while Lim the Silent made our SRG can-collector bot. Edmundo the Broken-Armed and Snowstorm the Technical Director were also present. We eventually left the lab at about 12.30 and went to eat lunch.

After lunch, Lim the Silent and I went down to Pneumax to enquire about containers for compressed air. He suggested a compressor, which we said was not possible due to our size limit. We took a "short" walk down to Eunos Technopark to look for fire extinguishers, and we found this place that's willing to give us compressed Nitrogen as well as a suitably sized container. Great news, even though holding my breath for 5 minutes from cigarette smoke wasn't really pleasant. After that took another "short" walk back to Pneumax. Tried crossing a field, except that by the time we were 50 metres into the field the mud was up to our ankles. Took a long detour and found our way back to Pneumax. We were shown some cylinders and valves and we were given a proposal. A bit ex, but we'll continue to look into it. (Sponsors, maybe?)

Eventually found our way home. Probably going to practise piano now. It's Good Friday tomorrow. Need to prepare myself spiritually. Spend some time with God these 2 days.

Most High
I want to see Your face
I want to know Your ways
Let Your light shine upon us
I want to know Your power
Come fill me once again
Lift me up in Your hands of grace

Put a new song in my mouth
Of praise to You
and the world will see and fear Your name
Put a new song in my mouth
Of praise to You
and the world will see and fear Your name

Worthy, worthy is the Lord
Worthy, worthy is the Lord
Worthy, worthy is the Lord

Wednesday

Went to school at 10 am in the morning, rather uneventful, did some research on the pneumatics, but was really looking forward to the rugby match afterwards. Peadra the Assimilated touched up his Borg Cube and Lim the Silent touched up his Super Duper Sumobot, but my Cheese still managed to beat them both. We're thinking of putting the bots out for adoption for our NJRC teams. Think! is very interested in my Cheese, and I think QC4:IC will want the Super Duper Sumobot, and someone will want the Borg Cube too. Chairman Joe spent his day in the lab playing Gunbound, and I assisted him by typing in snide yet cheem remarks at the opponent.

Edmundo the Broken-Armed was kind enough to give me and Lim the Silent a lift to the Police Academy for the 'B' division Rugby finals. It was the big one: the Saint Andrew's Saints (SAS) versus the Anglo-Chinese School Infidels (ACSI). ACSI had been winning for eons and we had been second to them for eons too. It's about time we reclaimed our trophy.

Both sides enter the pitch familiarly, both haven't conceded any points in their run-up to this finals. ACSI had been keeping a clean sheet for years. The entire Police Academy was swamped with blue and white. We sure know how to intimidate. We did our haka before the match started. We were ready.

We had the majority of the chances in the first half. We were charging and ACSI couldn't stop us. Just about 5 minutes into the game, ACSI's clean slate was marred. A searing run down the left flank was stopped by a good tackle, but the ball was quickly distributed back to centre, and would you believe it...Rivaldo scored from a drop kick. There was a moment of silence around the Police Academy. Then, the whole ground shook as the Saints celebrated their first points against the reigning champs.

ACSI - 0
St. Andrew's - 3

ACSI then went on the offensive, but we continued to defend, and took advantage of their slips. Rivaldo was in fine form, punting away balls to touch. Before long, we were back in their territory. After a series of good passes, the ball ended in the gloves of Lai Wei, who carried the ball into the try area and stuck his tongue out with a wry grin and shook his head before thumping the ball down in front of the posts, performing the first try celebration I have ever seen thus far. Rivaldo finished things off with the conversion. The Police Academy was in uproar.

ACSI - 0
St. Andrew's - 10

The schools were deadlocked after that try, ACSI still trying to penetrate us, we still trying our luck. Eventually, the half-time whistle blew. The Police Academy was a cacophony of noise. I was running around like a madman.

Soon, the teams were out again for the second half. ACSI immediately went on the offensive. We were having a hard time containing them. Tackles were flying everywhere. ACSI spent most of the half in our territory. Eventually...ACSI got a red card. They were 1 player down. They continued to push. Eventually, they got their try. A quickly taken free kick caught the SAS defence napping, and a couple of last ditch tackles could not prevent the try. Mara Fahmy the Traitor finished off business with the conversion.

ACSI - 7
St. Andrew's - 10

ACSI continued to push, and were denied twice by last ditch saving tackles. We also had our time, making inroads through the flanks and Rivaldo's punts upfield. Then, God spoke to me. He said, "Don't worry, we'll win." I said, "I'll have your word on that one..." After a nail-biting final few minutes, the whistle blew, and history was made. St. Andrew's have overthrown the powerhouses ACSI. The look on the faces of the SAS defectors was priceless, almost saying, "If only I stayed in SAS..." In seconds, the pitch was filled with blue and white striped shirts, all hollering the school song: "PLAY THE GAME (RUGBY) KEEP THE FLAME BURNING BRIGHTLY EEEEEEEEEVEEEEEEEEEER! DUM DA DUM, DUM DA DUM, DUM, DUUUUUUUUUUM DUUUUUUUUUUUM!" History was made, and there was great rejoicing, and celebrations will ring late into the night...

...which was exactly what I did. Despite the traffic jam, I made it to VCH in half an hour to watch Joshua the Soloist's School's Choir's Concert with Mich the Rugger, Yiwei the Violinist, Owen the Liverpool Striker, and another of Mich the Rugger's classmates. Or choirmates. I'm not so sure myself. Anyway, the choir was pleasantly entertaining for the first few minutes, after which it would only be pleasantly entertaining if your eyes were shut. The choir proved once again that an all boys choir doing choreography is akin to suicide, except it's worse, because the audience gets dragged down too. In addition, the MCs would have been entertaining if they didn't make it so darn obvious they were reading from a script. They also repeated the line, "Presenting the Victoria School Choir!" a total of 5 times in the first half. Standouts in the first half include Amazing Grace, in which the second soloist's microphone failed to work, Can't Help Falling in Love With You, a beautiful song with instinctively eye-shutting choreography, Jamaican Farewell, a Jamaican folk melody with a catchy, addictive tune and even worse choreography, and El Punto Guanasteco, a lively traditional Costa Rican piece arranged by Ronaldo.

Now onto the second half, which started off with a special item by the Alumni choir, who showed everyone that you don't need a script to talk onstage. "If you open your booklet, you will see there under Intermission, there's a special item by the Alumni choir, and we are the special item." I could not have said it more eloquently myself. They did the the usual Alumni stuff, Only You and Longest Time, but the highlight of their performance was Breakfast at Tiffany's. Discounting the fact that they needed to repeat it 2 times before getting it right, when they did get it right, it was toe-tapping stuff. One of the most entertaining songs of the night. What followed was the musical, "Lev Yashin in England". There was a guy decked in black, who is obviously Lev Yashin, and a couple of people with a red cross over their chest, who are obviously English footballers. Highlights include a dead body squirming offstage, as well as a particularly entertaining 'Oops' part.

All in all, the concert was great fun, and I really wanted to stick around a bit longer to tell Joshua the Soloist how much I enjoyed it, but I had to rush off to meet my father and eat dinner. We went to the National Library hawker centre and I had a nice plate of Fried Rice, after which we went back home.

Thank you God for being with me today, thank you for helping us win ACSI, and thank you for talking to me again.

He Has Made Me Glad

I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart
I will enter His courts with praise
I will say this is the day that the Lord has made
I will rejoice for He has made me glad

He has made me glad
He has made me glad
I will rejoice for He has made me glad
He has made me glad
He has made me glad
I will rejoice for He has made me glad

Tuesday

Miserable miserable day.

Had another revelation from God today. I'm going to have to give up something. Something I have been holding on tightly for the past 5 years. I'm quietly hoping it will be an Abraham-Isaac situation, but even if it's not, it's God's will anyway...

Was bugged constantly and consistantly today. Was bugged by my Grandma for using the com in a thunderstorm (I was just LOOKING at the MONITOR...) Was bugged by my piano teacher for not practising enough. Was bugged by my parents to shave (a complete waste of time in my opinion), cut my hair (another complete waste of time, except in addition the back of your neck starts prickling and you can't lean back on any neck support for the next week...), and yes, practise my piano, in addition to not going back to school so often (I have 2 robots to make in just about 4 weeks...), not sleeping so late (I'm doing research regarding the 2 bots I have to finish in 4 weeks...time is running out...) And I was also bugged by Shawn the Cousin regarding his Millenium Race car.

Ah well, some of it was my fault anyway...

Tomorrow will be quite a day. Will be starting work on the Gladiator bot very very soon, just a few more calculations. Then, the big one: SAS vs ACS(I) 'B' division Rugby finals. It's about time we won...I'll be there to watch it live. Capping things off with Joshua the Soloist's school's choir's concert.

Lord, your will be done tomorrow, I'm your faithful servant.

Farther Along

Farther along we’ll know all about it
Farther along we’ll understand why
Cheer up my brother, live in the sunshine
We’ll understand it all by and by

Monday

My, the past 2 days have been quite some 2 days for me. I'll start with yesterday...

Morning service at COGS was largely uneventful, sermon was on Obedience, which kind of set the tone for the rest of the day (you'll see later...) After that, went to SMC for Agape Youth, worship was led by Matt the Big. The presence of God could really be felt throughout the worship. We had a guest speaker, Pastor Daniel, who spoke on Breakthrough. True enough, most of us had a spiritual breakthrough that day. His sermon was taken from Mark 2:1-5, and basically had 4 points:

1. Make room for God
2. Overcome difficulties through faith
3. Friends matter - choose friends with faith
4. Overcome human limits through faith

Basically a lesson in faith. During the prayer there was an altar call. I was tempted to go forward, but I heard the voice of the Lord! He said "Don't go up." I was stunned. I was like, "God, is that you?" He said again, "Don't go up." Now that I look back, I guess he was just trying to test my obedience. He continued, "Don't open your eyes." I kept it shut. Then I received a revelation. I saw myself walking to the piano and taking over from Axton the Pianist. I asked again, "Was that from you, God?" No answer. 10 seconds later Eric walked over to me and said, "Can you take over from Andrew? I want to pray for him." I walked over to the piano, thanking the Lord for speaking to me. He continued to speak to me throughout the day, sometimes words of revelation, sometimes words of comfort. I really felt close to God yesterday.

Football was interesting. Wore my new Liverpool (Diouf 9) jersey, the pitch was wet, it was raining, and we went 2-0 down after 5 minutes. Had a couple of shots on goal, nothing spectacular, went in 2-1 at half time due to an OG. Was moved to Right Back in the second half and was an absolute disaster. Was moved back upfront and had another shot on goal. A couple of good passes redeemed myself, but losing 7-3 can't be very good. Neither is wearing a white jersey, white shorts, and white socks on a muddy day.

Now on to Liverpool - Blackburn. God was still speaking to me. "Liverpool will win," he said. Can't be very bad can it? Especially after going 3-0 after 20 minutes...Heskey with a rare finish for a glorious 4-0 win. A super end to a super super day. Thank you again, God, I'll never forget it!

Now onto today. God was around again, although he wasn't so talkative today. Maybe he wants me to go through today without depending so much on his "inside info". True enough, Lim the Silent and I found a pneumatic supplier, Pneumax, in Ubi. Lim the Silent knew the way...he was supposed to go somewhere nearby one day, so he knew how to go. I just followed. When we reached, we were just flipping through the books, looking for something suitable for our bot. We were getting the gist of everything, when this guy came out of the office (Lim the Silent has his namecard), and we just explained everything to him, what we wanted for our bot and all. He was very helpful, and we were just happy to find a place that supplies pneumatic parts. Now all we need is a small CO2 fire extinguisher. Tar pao-d lunch back just in time for the Choir Interview. Quickly gobbled down lunch and met up with Ghost the Tall and It for the meeting with the Sec 3s for the new committee posts. Uneventful, and all 3 of us had a basic idea who we want for this year's comm. After that, went back to the Robotics Lab to do some more calculations for the flipper and the pneumatics. Back for dinner about 6.45pm, another fruitful day, and once again God was behind it all.

My Best Friend

Have you heard of the one called Saviour?
Have you heard of his perfect love?
Have you heard of the one in Heaven?
Have you heard how he gave his son?
Well I have found this love and I believe in the Son
Show me your way...

I believe in the one called Saviour
I believe he's the Risen One
I believe that I'll live forever
I believe that the King will come
Because I have found this love and I believe in the Son
Show me your way...

Jesus, You are my best friend and you will always be, nothing will ever change that
Jesus, You are my best friend and you will always be, nothing will ever change that

I believe in the one called Saviour
I believe he's the Risen One
I believe that I'll live forever
I believe that the King will come
Because I have found this love and I believe in the Son
Show me your way...

Jesus you are my best friend and you will always be nothing will ever change that
Jesus you are my best friend and you will always be nothing will ever change that
Jesus you are my best friend and you will always be nothing will ever change that

Nothing will ever change that
Nothing will ever change that
Nothing will ever change that
Nothing will ever change that
Nothing will ever change that
Nothing will ever change that!

I Find Jesus

I walk in silence when it comes
This feeling when the spirit leads me on
If the dogs are barking and the night is rough
I take it as a sign to climb above
The city to heal among the clouds
Where I can see my Savior now
He's waiting with his palm to me outstretched
His mercy is a balm when I'm perplexed

I find Jesus (I find Jesus) in the darkest night (I find Jesus)
I find Jesus (I find Jesus) in the morning light (I find Jesus)
I find Jesus in the face of those
Whose hearts are singing with the heavenly host

Sometimes when I feel all alone
I look around and all are gone
The friends that I rely upon
Are busy doing what they want
I look within and I am told
It's Sunday morning in my soul
And there I find a holy hall
Where congregations heed the call

I find Jesus (I find Jesus) in the darkest night (I find Jesus)
I find Jesus (I find Jesus) in the morning bright (I find Jesus)
I find Jesus in the face of those
Whose hearts are singing with the heavenly host

And when I lay down my last time
And feel a chill run up my spine
And recognize my time has come
I'll look around, He'll lead me home
He'll reach His loving hand to me
And bid me climb to victory
Where we'll find kindred spirits there
Hearts raised in song without a care

I find Jesus (I find Jesus) in the darkest night (I find Jesus)
I find Jesus (I find Jesus) in the morning bright (I find Jesus)
I find Jesus in the face of those
Whose hearts are singing with the heavenly host

Falling

I would like to walk this world
With You always
Never want to be apart from You O Lord
I am sometimes overwhelmed by Truth
And Your ways
Could it be that I was made for You
I'm blown away

I am falling
I am falling in love
I am falling in love
I am falling in love with You

Would You stay and listen for a while
Please stay
I would like to leave it all behind
My ways
But I get caught up in myself sometimes
All I can say

I am falling in love with You
Jesus

Jesus
Falling I am falling deeper deeper
Deeper deeper
In love with You
Lord I am falling in love with You
You've captured my heart
You're the lover of my soul
I'm falling in love with You
Lord I am falling in love with You
