It's About Time...

I've finally gotten myself an online photo album at giantzucchini.multiply.com where you can peruse through my snapshots at will. Of course I'll still have some text based reporting here, that you do not need to worry, but when time is short...just go there, it's easier to update than here. Meanwhile, as school starts tomorrow, I'll take my farewell, and perhaps I'll fill you guys in on Desaru and Melbourne. Until then, just a little reminder, that LIVERPOOL WON THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!!!

I'm BACK!!!

Yes my brethren, after a nice long break in Desaru and Melbourne I'm finally back with some more interesting stories that I'll never have the time to tell you guys. But first...

You'll Never Walk Alone

When you walk through a storm hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never walk alone.

Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone...
YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE!!!

Day of Pain

Well, it didn't start off that bad. I went to change my passport photograph while my grandmother went to the polyclinic regarding her ailing back caused by her coughing. After that, went to Creative regarding my ailing MP3 player caused by the on-off switch. Then went home before setting off for lunch...and that's when the pain started.

After a pleasant dinner, I went for my dental appointment. Not that I'm some weenie weakling, but the cleaning...which wasn't exactly short by the way, caused...well...slight discomfort. Not to my teeth, not even to my gums (well, not REALLY)...but mostly to my tongue. Of course, it was just the beginning...

After that, went to Mr Sia's clinic for therapy on my finger. BOY did THAT hurt. After twisting my finger, squashing it on the mattress, pulling it apart, etc...he told my parents that I may need to have ANOTHER operation, an aenesthetic breaking of the scarred tissue, to regain back full movement. I don't know...go through all that just to grip a golf club properly? Doesn't seem like a good deal to me...Anyway, they seem enthusiastic about the operation, despite my commitments to the worship team...I'll pray about it, then we'll just have see how it all pans out...

And the final installment of this chapter...Symphony of Voices by the VJC Choir. On the surface, it was a spectacular show. The choir itself was on top of their game and the music was top drawer. In fact, if I may do a bit of endorsement here, VJC Choir doesn't adore that Whitacre guy for nothing. All the songs were splendid, almost atmospheric in a James Horner style, but in choral kind of way, and of course Cloudburst was simply sensational. In fact, to be brutally honest here...it kinda killed their second half, because no way could you match that Whitacre 1st half. It was THAT good.

And yet, it caused some disturbance in this little heart of mine. Don't worry, it's not jealousy...it's just...I don't know...Maybe it's just a longing in my heart after being away from the school choir scene for some time...but no way am I representing any other school other than St. Andrew's...Or maybe it's because of the fact that the choir I love so much is on the brink of collapse...it may be either of those...and yet...it seems to go a little deeper than that...to something I can't seem to face eye-to-eye except when I force myself to...

Monday

WOW what an amazing few days that have just passed!

First of all, thanks to all who attended my birthday dinner, and thanks as well for the presents, I like them all! Well, almost...

Had a real blast on Saturday! I think all who attended saw my true heart during the worship session. God is at work, I tell you! :D Of course, dinner was sumptuous and delicious, and as Tomas Santos would say, "We were very fed up!" :D I'm sure the guys had a lot of fun on the PS2 playing WE8 and on the laptop playing Need4Speed. And I'm sure the girls enjoyed themselves listening to Crawldaddy belt out hits from our new album "Burnt Holidays".

Speaking of "Burnt Holidays", Crawldaddy and I have essentially completed the basic tracks to the album. So, we estimate that it should be complete by the end of the week. So do comment here or in the shoutbox or over at Crawldaddy's or by MSN or anything if you wish to "pre-order". You may just have an earlybird discount! Of course it's still tentative so stay tuned for more Fuzzy Green Grass news here!

Tuesday

Phew! After a long day at Crawldaddy's place, I'm finally back home with some quality stuff in my computer. Completed a powerful and energetic rendition of the Fuzzy Green Grass hit 'He's So Smart', before completing the bass parts for 'I Love' and 'I'm Gonna Find My Own Way'. Only 5 more songs to the completion of the tracks for 'Burnt Holidays'! Until then, I leave you with the song that started it all...to remember a day many people hold dear in the hearts...and some not so dear...He's So Smart!

A Message For My Juniors...

To my Orientation Group 12, I'm so proud of you guys. It's just a testament to your abilities that even with as crappy an OGL as me, you guys can make the Top 3 as well as the best cheer team. I think the group really showed your mettle when you guys, lagging behind with regards to the board, worked your guts out to produce one of the impressive boards of the day. Also kudos to your ad lib skit performance. How the music could have fit the skit so well could be attributed to nothing less than divine intervention. Also, we love you Blurdork ;p.

If what I deduce is correct, you guys will be split up into 3 classes when the new term starts. I certainly hope this is not the case, because I know if you guys stick together as a class, you guys will definitely be a force to be reckoned with. However, in the event that you guys DO split up, do keep in contact with each other, even during these 25 days and for the rest of your 3 years together, and even beyond. Organise outings, dinners, barbecues, soccer, basketball, double jump, anything (and don't forget to invite your friendly neighbourhood OGLs as well ;p)

As far as your 3 years in ID are concerned, I see a great deal of individual and collective potential in you, but of course when I use the word potential, I mean it's unrealised. We saw glimpses of it during the course of the 3 days, particularly during the minigames and mass games. However it is not enough to show glimpses of it during playtime. It must be applied to your work especially when the going gets tough (and it will I assure you) However, if you do, then you guys would surely outperform any of the current batches at their peak.

In conclusion, don't ever see your classmates as competitors fighting a war to finish first. Instead, see them as your fellow workers, people who can help you and people whom you can help. Most importantly, see them as friends, and treasure these friendships, that's the least you guys can do for yourselves.

Keep the great stuff coming!

Shout Unto God

The enemy has been defeated
And death couldn't hold You down
We're gonna lift our voice in victory
We're gonna make Your praises loud

Shout unto God with a voice of triumph
Shout unto God with a voice of praise
Shout unto God with a voice of triumph
We lift Your name up
We lift Your name up

Monday

I'm BACK!

Greetings y'all. I'm finally back from my cell retreat to Kota Tinggi and boy do I have some stories for you! But unfortunately for you I've still got to settle some orientation stuff so you'll only get the juice later on, if you're lucky, today. So for now, I leave you with this track from Hillsongs United's latest album, Look to You.

Deeper

Light to men
Love of God
Healing for the wounded heart
Like a child quiet my soul
Hear Your voice surround me Lord

Jesus, hold me into Your heart
Into Your heart
Lord my soul delights
And I know You hear my prayer
Take me deeper Lord

Glorious Son to You I shall bow
Bow my knee, bow my will
Cherished by the strong and the weak
Humble hearts shall hear You speak
And by Your love Lord You opened my heart
Now Your light will shine always
By Your Word Lord Your promise secure
And my soul will live always
Take me deeper Lord
