Today we will learn:
How to Mutilate a Brush using the Lathe Machine
Step 1: Turn on lathe machine.
Step 2: Look busy, work on workpiece. How specifically is not important.
Step 3: Generate lots of swarf. Ensure spindle is moving, preferably with great pace.
Step 4: In an attempt to remove swarf, jab brush (hereinafter referred to as 'victim') at swarf.
Step 5: Follow through until victim makes contact with chuck.
Step 6: After enough tension has been generated, yank victim away from spindle with force.
Step 7: Repeate Steps 3-7 until desired result is achieved.
Viola! Within seconds, the bristles of your brush would be totally mutilated. This is caused by the trapping of the bristles in the swarf, the cutting of the bristles by the burrs, as well as the twisting of the brush by the spinning spindle.
