The Repose of Chi Wing Lo

Yesterday I went for this design talk by this bloke Chi Wing Lo. It was at this NAFA place. So, I planned to meet up with Crawldaddy at Bugis MRT at 1715 hrs, so, after making the necessary calculations, I left the house at 1645 hrs. After getting off 13, I went down the Potong Pasir MRT station...to see the train moving off. Great, so there was delayed for 5 minutes. Finally, the bus came, got off at Dhoby Ghaut, rushed to the NSL area...to see the train moving off. Fantastic, so was delayed there for another 4 minutes. Got off at City Hall to go towards Bugis on the EWL...and...another NSL train arrived to further pack the train. Brilliant...fortunately, reached there...not TOO late, only 1720 hrs. So off we set towards NAFA, and in the drizzle, took some daring turns and interesting navigation. After 10 minutes...we finally found...Bugis MRT station. Well, at least we knew where NOT to walk this time...and we finally arrived at NAFA Theatre. From then on, it was barrage after barrage of phone calls. "Where is the place ah?" "HERE...on Bencoolen Street...next to Burlington Square...B-U-R-lington...it's...it's opposite the bus stop...OPPOSITE THE STOP SIGN...blah blah blah..." We finally seated ourselves next to the teachers, who were looking with interest at my mp3 player. Not the songs, mind you, they were not really interested in Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder...Anyway, the talk finally started. Mr Giorghetti, some big shot with a real thick Italian accent, started us off with an introduction. "Eet eess mai gchkreteste pleashur too shpick heer...blah blah blah..." All I could comprehend was he was saying something about Scolari not being in design. I knew that, he's the Portugal coach, everybody knows that...So anyway, after that, Mr Chi finally took to the stage. Amazingly, we couldn't comprehend him either. "The ambivalent exactitude of which the 'repose' of the imagination of darkness to darkness and light to light, brings about the perfect house of water in the wheat field, involving the 'repose' of mergence of wood and electronic technology from the manifestation of aluminium, resulting in...'repose'." It didn't help that he was speaking at the same speed of a snail, while the slides faded in...then faded out...faded in...then faded out...Crawldaddy knocked off for like 80% of the talk, while I amazingly kept awake throughout the whole thing, perhaps only because I was TRYING to comprehend what in world he was trying to say. And also trying not to look at the slides.
